Leadership Team

Brad Johnson, President & Founder
Brad Johnson’s interest in coil cleaning started while he was working for a large environmental services company in business development and consulting.  While doing some research for a large client he learned that proper cleaning of coils results in energy savings, reduced “hot calls” and greenhouse gas emissions. It also lowers maintenance costs. He also realized that either because of knowledge, desire to do it or lack of understanding of the benefits, most people do not truly clean a heat transfer surface well.  He saw that they:
  • Use a garden hose and clean the 1st inch of the coil and check the box.
  • Utilize high pressure and destroy the fins.
  • Due to environmental concerns they often only use water which does not remove debris, such as hydrocarbon, that insulates coils and steals energy.
Armed with this knowledge and a desire to truly make a difference, Brad decided to take the leap into business ownership and started Common Cents Energy Recovery.  He felt that with a little bit of knowledge of the benefits like cost and energy savings, building owners would want his services.  And they have!

Brad leads a team of properly trained technicians that understand the importance of chemical use, recapture and disposal.
